Amit Shah whose full Name is Amit Anil Chandra Shah is Amongst Leaders of India who was born After Indian Independence on 22nd October, 1964 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India in Gujarati Hindu Vaishnava family. He is at Present serving as the Minister of Home Affairs and Also the first Minister of Co-operation of India. Before Minister of Home Affairs he served as President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 2014 to 2020. People Also Call him “King maker”.

Biography of Amit Shah
Amit Shah who is currently 57 Years Old is raised up in Gujarati Baniya Family and completed his Schooling from A Local School in Mansa, Gujarat and completed his Graduation in B.sc in Biochemistry from C.U. Shah Science College, Ahmedabad. His Father Anil Chandra Shah was a Businessman By Profession who owned a successful PVC pipe business and his Mother’s Name was Kusumben Shah who was Homemaker. Shah has been involved in Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since childhood; as a boy he took part in Nearest Branches. He officially became RSS Swayamsevak (Volunteer) while studying in Ahmedabad. Amit Shah Married to Sonal Shah and the Couple have one son named as Jay Shah.

Achievements of Amit Shah
Since 2014 Amit Shah is the chairman of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He was elected to the lower house of parliament, the Lok Sabha, by Gandhinagar in the 2019 Indian general election. He was previously elected to the upper house of Gujarat’s Rajya Sabha in 2017. Inaugurated at the age of 54, he is the youngest full-time interior minister. He is the BJP’s chief strategist and a close associate of Narendra Modi.
During his college years, Amit Shah was a member of ABVP, the student wing of the RSS. he secured a position in the ABVP at the age of 18 and joined the BJP in 1987. Shah was first elected in Gujarat as MLA for a seat which partially included Ahmedabad, Sarhey in 1997 (by-election). He continued to hold office in the 1998, 2002 and 2007 elections until that seat was dissolved in 2008; He was then elected from nearby Naranpura in 2012. A close associate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he has held senior positions in the Gujarat state government.
Amit Shah was the BJP in charge of India’s largest and most politically important state of Uttar Pradesh in the 2014 Lok Sabha election. The BJP and its NDA won 73 of the 80 seats. As a result, the Shah rose to national prominence and was named the party’s national president in July 2014.
Since 2014, he has played an organizing and member-building role in many state elections. In its first two years, the BJP won legislative assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand and Assam, but lost in Delhi and the large eastern state of Bihar in 2015.
In 2017 he was partially credited with party victories in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat and Manipur, but the Akali-BJP alliance lost power in the Punjab general election. In 2018, the party lost power in the states of Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. A year later, the BJP won 303 seats to achieve a majority in the 2019 Indian general election led by Amit Shah.

Article 370
Amit Shah was sworn in as Cabinet Minister on 30 May 2019 and served as Minister of Home Affairs on 1 June 2019. On 5 August 2019, the Shah introduced a resolution to abolish Article 370 of the Rajya Sabha and divide the State of Jammu and Kashmir, with Jammu and Kashmir being one of the Union Territories and Ladakh as a separate Union Territory.
In September 2019, Shah spoke about India in need of a unifying language; He said Hindi should be spoken to unite the country and represent India in the world. In a tweet, he also urged Indians to increase the use of Hindi.
NRC and CAA
On 19 November 2019, Amit Shah stated at the Rajya Sabha of the Indian Parliament that the National Register of Citizens (NRC) would be launched nationwide.
In December 2019, he introduced the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, which grants Indian citizenship to religiously persecuted minority communities who immigrated to the country before 2015 from Muslim-majority countries of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. In northeast India, the law has raised concerns about the impact of immigration on local culture and politics, prompting people to protest the law. Elsewhere, opposition parties have criticized the exclusion of Muslims from the law for undermining Indian pluralism. Amit Shah insisted that the law was not anti-Muslim because it did not reroute their existing citizenship.
Criminal Procedure Bill (Identification) 2022
This bill was intended to replace the Detainee Identification Act of 1920. In the 1980s, the Indian Law Commission recommended major changes to the existing law in its 87th report. The new law will allow police and prison authorities to collect, store and analyze physical and biological samples, including retinal and iris scans, from inmates and people arrested on various charges. Presenting the law at the Lok Sabha, Amit Shah said: “The Criminal Procedures (Identification) Act 2022 will not only fill this outdated gap, it will expand the scope of evidence for a conviction.
